Hey my beauties

I recently posted some pictures on my social media pages of a make up look that I did and I wanted to review the eyeshadows I used to create that look.

Cocoa Blend

I recently purchased the Zoeva Cocoa Palette as I really wanted to try them out. Doing research, this one came up tops, so I ordered it from Beauty Bay.

On receiving it, I thought the packaging was absolutely gorgeous. The palette comes in a sleeve with the exact same design as the box, which I liked. The box itself is a really nice gold and taupe triangle design with a magnetic lid.

Inside Cocoa Blend.jpgInside the palette you have 10 colours, 3 shimmers, 3 satins and 4 mattes, each colour has it’s own circled compartment with their name written in gold underneath.

To create the look I did, I used all colours from this palette, not every single one, but I didn’t have to go into another palette, which I find really good, as I hate having to use numerous palettes for one look. It has all the colours you need, crease, shimmers and dark colours to add depth.

I used the above colours and I have to be honest, they were amazing to work with and created one of the best eye looks I’ve ever done.

1 – Substitute for Love: I used this colour in my crease, to create warmth, I love colours like this for my crease, I think it makes EVERY eye look. I blended this out till there was no harsh lines.

2 – Freshly Toasted: I also applied this into my crease, blending it out over the other colour, this was just to deepen the crease and make it more smokey and blown out

3 – Warm Notes: I wanted to add a bit of redness to this look, brighten it up and wanted some shimmer, so I added this on my lid, from the inner and about 3 quarters out. With this, I used Mac’s Fix + to enhance the shimmer.

4 – Pure Ganache: To add a bit of a golden touch, I applied this colour, also with Mac’s Fix + to the centre of my lid, just to make Warm Notes shine a bit more, but also to make the deep red shimmer less harsh.

5 – Beans are White: I applied this dark matte colour to my outer corner, blending it out to really smoke out this eye and to finish the look

I used all the colours above and created the same on the bottom lid and blended them together.

I absolutely loved every single one of these colours and they were absolutely amazing to work with. It has really made me want to buy more palettes from Zoeva, as the quality is outstanding, the shadows are soft and creamy, and the shimmers aren’t full of glitter, they blend flawlessly and for £18 I really would recommend this.

I absolutely loved creating this look and was so happy with the results, I couldn’t stop looking at it all day (so vein…not), I can’t wait to create more looks with this palette.
