What drew me to the Miss Hippie Mascara? The Youtube world. I think it was Emma’s Rectangle channel that made me want to buy this mascara, as she raved about how amazing it was. Without hesitation, I went out a purchased this, even though I was a little apprehensive. Most drugstore mascara’s I find a little disappointing but I wasn’t prepared for what happened next.
It doesn’t matter what’s on the outside! It does when it comes to beauty products…
Now, I don’t find mascara packaging all that exciting. It’s one of those products that are box standard, always has to be in a tube and there is nothing wrong with that. At first, the colour scene didn’t speak to me, but over time, it’s really grown on me.
It’s different from all other colour schemes out there, sleek orange and black with a flat edge where the logo and name are and then it curves round from there. I am a big fan of this and now I try not to judge a product too quickly. And for just £7.99, I think it looks jazzy baby!
The mascara wand, could it be magic?
There are many different types of mascara wands. This one I would put under the ‘rectangle’ wand, which should always provide you with volume and length. Can’t disagree here, this wand does do that and what an amazing job it does. It’s thick and fuzzy, giving you not just length and volume, but also makes them look feathery. Now, even though it doesn’t get into every nook and cranny, if you wiggle it from the very bottom of your lash and continue to wiggle it up, I think it provides a very good coating of your lashes. This is also a great technique to add more volume and length to all mascaras. Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle!
To me, it’s as magical as Paul Daniels. If you don’t know who that is…I’m officially old! And to me, he was magical.
The formula – m = fabulous results…
Like I said, it gives length and volume, with a sass of feathered lashes. For such good value, this is peaking at every turn for me and I fall in love with it more.
It doesn’t clump or make them look like your eyelashes are stuck together. What I also love, is that it doesn’t transfer to the bottom lash line, like others in my collection, including high-end ones.
The formula gives my lashes a beautiful curl and thickens them making them stand out. You can even build this up to give you a more dramatic look, perfect for nights out.
My first, my last, my everything…impressions
My first impressions weren’t amazing, they were good, but I wasn’t blown away. But I think it’s down to not giving it a chance. I have never been one for mascara’s, so it’s hard for me to get excited over them.
The more I used it, the more I learned how to use to get it’s best, the more I loved it. I couldn’t get over how much I loved this mascara.
At first, I only used it for every day looks for work etc. But then I went to reach for my Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara for a night out and instead I put it down and picked this one up.
Would I repurchase? Damn right I would…and I did!
If you are looking for a good priced, volumising, lengthy, makes your lashes look like a festival is in town. Then this is your guy!
Have any of you tried it? What did you think?
