As it’s been a bit of a hectic month, I haven’t had much opportunity to try a lot of new products. I have purchased a lot, but actually haven’t managed to try them yet.

Here is the first addition of Faves and Fails!!

Faves

Honey Mask

The Body Shop Ethiopian Honey Deep Nourishing Mask // I am a massive fan of face masks, nothing I like more than being able to unwind with crap on my face that’s going to make it silky soft and suddenly beautiful…oh wait…I read the claims…doesn’t do miracles! Well, I’m happy with silky soft and this does exactly that.

When applying it to my face, I always use a flat foundation brush, I would definitely recommend that with this particular mask, as due to the consistency, it would be hard to apply with your fingers.

It definitely resembles honey and has a lovely smell to it, which my sister would eat given the opportunity, luckily, I don’t like honey.

The one thing I really do like about this mask, is because it doesn’t dry like a clay mask, you can easily get on with your day, without even noticing it’s on your face.

Results wise, my face definitely feels nourished and soft, just what I wanted from this mask. Is it worth the money, not sure, it costs £16 for a 75ml tub, which is expensive, but you get a large amount and you do not require to use a lot. As a comparison, if you’ve used the L’Oreal Detox Mask, there tubs have 50ml, so you are getting more with The Body Shop, but paying double the price for it.

Mascara

Avon Supershock Mascara // One of besties, Jessica Jade Beauty, is a connoisseur when it comes to mascara and I would always trust her judgement. Jess was nice enough to send me one of your favourite mascaras and I couldn’t wait to try it, but at the same time nervous. Not everyone likes the same things, but mascaras is one of those things I have always struggled with, as I have never found the right one for me…until now.

When I opened it, the first thing I noticed was how big the wand was! It was huge, I was a little intimidated, my little lashes were going to get ravished by it.

But as the saying goes, sometimes bigger is better and it was definitely the case with this mascara. The Supershock really grabbed onto each one of my lashes and coating them in this gorgeous black mascara, without clogging them together. Separated them out beautifully, giving me more length as well.

It is absolutely gorgeous for every day and I have been doing that….EVERY DAY! I have been using it in the evenings as well, but I think I would want something that provides a little more volume, giving me a bit of va va voom. Making me think whether I should try their volumising Supershock mascara…winner winner!

The one downfall to this mascara, is that I have noticed that it transfer to my bottom lash line, causing a dark circle under my eye, but that is after 8 hours wear.

I would definitely recommend this and for the great prices that Avon offer, I would give it a go, as they always tend to have offers on them.

Socks

Moisturising Gel Socks // Now my sister purchased these from Amazon for me, a couple of years ago as a Christmas present.

Even though I’ve had them for a couple of years, I had to mention them, as they are so good for you feet.

On the inside, they are like jelly, it’s really weird. I put cream on my feet and then slip them into these socks and let them work their magic.

They really make your feet so soft and plump, it’s lovely, great for a feet pamper. The only thing I will warn you about is, make sure you have everything you need for the next 30 minutes…as walking in these things is the weirdest feeling EVER.

Roku

Roku Streaming Stick // My best friend Laura was telling me about these sticks that you can run Netflix and Now TV through. I usually use my Xbox to run Netflix through, but I was looking for something a bit easier to use so I could sell my Xbox.

This stick is amazing and has completely changed my TV life, which I know sounds quite sad, but I love watching TV.

This allows me to stream from Netflix, Now TV (which is great) and all my demand channels to catch up on Eastenders etc.

I will say, you do need to have good internet to run these, as we now have two of these in my house and our internet is poor!! We’ve had troubles with it since we go it and it just can’t cope with the amount of internet we need in the house. This is nothing to do with the Roku stick itself, it’s all about our crap internet provider.

I would really recommend this stick to anyone who loves TV as much as I do and wants to be able to connect to all your streaming websites at a click of a button, with super ease. I bought mine from Curry’s for £39 and it’s the best thing I’ve bought this year.

Fails

Clay Mask

Beauty Formula Charcoal Clay Mask // As you know, I love masks, especially clay masks, as I have terrible skin and I do think that clay masks help with my pores and blackheads.

My favourite is the L’Oreal Pure Clay Detox Mask for £7.99, but I wanted to see whether I could find a cheaper dupe. This mask cost me £1 from my local Savers and I wanted to see whether this did the same thing as my L’Oreal one.

Holy Guacamole…this mask was terrible, it didn’t dry like normal clay masks and it made no difference to my face at all. It was definitely not a dupe for my favourite clay mask, but it wasn’t even a good mask, so disappointing.

Highlighter

Manny MUA X Jeffree Starr Comestics – Skin Frost Eclipse // If you’ve read my recent reviews, this won’t be a shock to a lot of you. I wanted to love this so much, but I just couldn’t get on with it. It was so chalky, it’s actually really difficult to use and for the price of £25, I want it to bloody work!

Manny and Jeffree are two of my favourite Youtubers in the world and I am literally heart broken not to like their collab, especially a highlighter. I might have got a dud one, but I have seen other reviews that said the exact same thing.

I really hope you have enjoyed reading, comments are always welcome. Let me know if you’ve tried any of the products I’ve mentioned, would love to know your thoughts.
