Hello my lovelies!
It’s time for another Glossybox review, I love trying out new products, especially from brands that I haven’t heard from.
Deliwash Cleansing Conditioner – RRP £14.50
I am starting with this one because, sadly I am not able to write a review on this. At the moment I am doing treatment on my hair to try and get it in better condition. While doing this, I didn’t want to introduce a new shampoo (which this is, even though it’s called a conditioner) into my regime just yet.
I will get round to doing it, but once I am happy with the condition of my hair again and I can explore other products, as I do think this could be helpful and I am interested in how this performs.
In a nut shell, this is a shampoo but also conditions your hair, it’s like a 2 in 1. It does say it’s suppose to wash your hair without stripping it as it’s free from chemicals such as sulphates, salts etc. Now I think a shampoo that really lathers up, makes me feel like I am getting a really good hair wash, now due to no chemicals, this would cause the shampoo not to lather as much. Obviously without the added un-natural ingredients, it’s making it better for your hair, which is why I am so keen to try this out. I REALLY look forward to giving this a go, but the price is some what…off putting!
Merci Handy Love and Hand Cleansing Gel – RPP £2.90
As some of you may know, I used to be subscribed to another beauty box, called Birchbox. In this, I received a product from Merci Handy, which I absolutely loved, you can view this here.
When I received another one of their products through Glossybox, I was really excited, in hope that I would fall in love with it also. Unfortunately…I didn’t.
I love hand sanitises, I use them on a daily basis, so to receive one from a brand I loved was really exciting. The first thing I did was smell it and as always there products smell amazing! Sadly, the disappointing part of this was that the smell was slightly over bearing, it was really strong once it was on my hands. Then came the feeling on my hands, it left quite a sticky texture to my hands, which I didn’t like and I do not get from other sanitises I have used.
Sadly, I didn’t like using this product after that, I don’t like products that leave a sticky feeling afterwards, meaning I had to go and wash my hands, kind of defeating the object of a sanitiser.
MODELCO Contour Stick – RRP £17
I was so excited to receive this, I have never tried a contour stick before, mainly because contour scares me a little bit, but always wanted to try it.
The first thing I noticed about this was the shade, it was very dark with a strong hint of orange.
As always, I get a sniff, this smells gorgeous, it’s like chocolate…I was half tempted to eat it (I am on a diet, I’d eat anything close to chocolate right now).
I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and give it a go. Surprisingly enough, when I applied and blended this product out, the colour wasn’t that bad, it wasn’t exactly what I would like for in a contour colour, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be.
It applied easily, blended beautifully and really sculpted my face, giving me dimension.
Would I use it again? Yes. Would I purchase it? No. I think there are cheaper and better colours on the market and I think this product is overpriced, considering this is the only colour available.
Rodial Glamolash Mascara XXL – £24
Who doesn’t love a mascara that has the XXL in their title, it gives us all hope that this mascara will give us fluttering, lengthy and volumising lashes. I am always on the search for a product that does this, without making my lashes look like clumped up spiders legs.
Sadly, this one did not, the wand when it came out the tube was disgustingly clumpy and looked too thick. When I applied it, it looked like a cheap mascara you’d get when you were at school and couldn’t afford anything from the normal high street stores (or was this just me). It clumped my eyelashes together, instead of looking fluttering and pretty, they just looked caked in black gunk.
I couldn’t believe how much this was being sold for, it is extremely overpriced and you can buy better ones than this for half the price.
SPORTFX Definition Duo Eyeliner Pencil – RRP £9.99
Looking at the write up I received for this product, this is for gym goers looking for a fresh and quick way to apply eyeliner after a gym session. You could probably tell, but I am not much of a fitness person….at all.
It has multi uses, this can be used for the tradition eyeliner, but also eyebrows, due to it being a duo of black and brown. Another claim to this is that is it waterproof…now this claim I can definitely tell you is not true.
When I applied this to my waterline, it completely disappeared once I blinked, it had no staying power at all, which makes me think it’s waterproof claim, isn’t exactly accurate. Whether they are referring to applying it on your eyelid or eyebrows, but when I applied it to skin, it rubbed away almost immediately.
There are plenty of eyeliners on the market that are 100% better than this.
So overall, this wasn’t the best Glossybox ever, but it was great to try out products from brands I have and have not heard of and then I get to review them for you guys.
I hope you have enjoyed reading this and until next time…
