Well, it’s the end of an era (if you know where that quote comes from, we should be friends) and the foundation series is now over, I really hope you enjoyed it and much  as I did. I am looking to do another series, so if there is anything you would particular like to see on my site, let me know in the comments below.

For each of the foundations, I have ranked them all from good to bad, so I thought the best way to end this series, is to do a little summary about them all and why I ranked them the way I did. Let’s start with the lowest ranking and finish on a high:

8th – L’Oreal Infallible 24HR Matte – 3/10

Loreal 24hr 2

This was not a good foundation, the formula was ok, but the fact that it deoxidised so badly, it was a massive put off for me. I just think there are a lot more foundations on the market today for a similar price that does a much better job.

7th – Clinique Even Better  – 5/10

Clinique EB 2

I personally didn’t think this foundation was good for my skin, it made me very shiny, but not in a dewy way, so I really didn’t like the finish of this foundation. Over time, I have noticed it does last better on my face and doesn’t separate as bad as other foundations but I can’t get past the tacky feel it leaves on my face.

Joint 7th – Clinique Beyond Perfecting – 5/10

Clinique BP

This one was probably the most disappointing one, but not the worst. Disappointing because out of all of them, this is the one I was looking forward to trying and sadly it did not live up to my expectations. I found the smell over powering, the longevity isn’t what I need from a foundation.

5th – Rimmel 25hr Lasting Finish – 7/10

Rimmel Lastiing Finish

This use to be my favourite foundation, until I found my go to, the coverage is there, really nice on the face, smells nice, it just didn’t have the longevity, even with the 25hr claim. Since writing the review, it has grown on me and maybe something I would repurchase for those days where you don’t want to use your expensive foundation for house guests.

Joint 5th – Dermacol Makeup Cover – 7/10

Dermacol 2

Wow, if you want a high coverage foundation, this is your guy. The coverage on this is amazing, but personally this is not something I would use on my face on a regular occurrence due to it being a very thick foundation. I am wondering whether this would be good for concealer, used in more specific places instead of all over the face. I also can’t get over how good this foundation smells!!

Joint 5th – Revlon Colourstay – 5/10

Revlon Colourstay 2

This is a really nice foundation, coverage is good but my colour match wasn’t exactly spot on. The formula is nice and the staying power is ok, just nothing in comparison to other foundations. I liked the finish to this foundation, gave me a nice flawless look without looking cakey, but again I just wish the longevity was better.

2nd – L’Oreal Infallible Total Cover – 8/10

loreal total cover 2

I was really impressed by this foundation, the coverage, the longevity and finish were gorgeous and something I would definitely use again. It did break down a little bit around my nose and chin, but as you’ve probably guessed from this series, most foundations has a tendency to do this to me.

1st – Estee Lauder Double Wear – 9/10

Estee Lauder 2

And my winner is…as you probably guessed…it was quite obvious. I can’t stop raving about this foundation. For my skin, it is the best foundation I have tried in a long time. It gives me everything I want, coverage, longevity, doesn’t oxidise. All in all, this in my Holy Grail foundation and I wouldn’t be without it now. I know it’s the most expensive out of all the ones I mentioned in this series, but sometimes you do have to spend that little bit extra to get that perfect foundation.

Well, that’s all of them. I really hope you enjoyed this series as much as I did. If you want to see more series like this, please comment below, would love to know what you guys would like to see on my site.
