Hello poppets,

As the title says, this is my Birchbox review from the products I received in February.

Before I get into it, I have to say, this was another disappointing Birchbox, I am considering cancelling it and subscribing to a new one as I just don’t think they are worth the money. Has anyone got any recommendations for the UK?

To get onto the products I received from Birchbox in February.

KEEOME Hydration Therapy Mask Set – £29.00

I love a good face mask, nothing better than chilling out in front of  the TV and having a nice pamper session with a face mask.

I have loads of masks that I like to use, so I was really excited when I received this in my box.

Now looking on the internet, this mask is getting amazing reviews. But unfortunately I do not agree with them.

I found it quite difficult to get it on my face due to the pure fact that it was soaked in liquid. I understand that it’s supposed to have a lot of moisture, but is it supposed to be so wet it pretty much slipped off my face.

It is one of those masks that is already a mask that you put on your face and put the nose, mouth and eye pieces in place. So they are never going to fit everyone’s face. I prefer having a mixture that you apply yourself.

I would definitely not recommend this product, especially considering the price.

Spectrum Collections Marbleous Tulip Eye Contour Brush – £4.99

This brand isn’t new to me, I already have 3 other brushes from Spectrum, they aren’t my favourite, but they are really good quality for the price.

This is the first brush I have ever received in my Birchbox and I was so happy when they informed everyone that we would be receiving a brush.

This brush is very soft, fluffy and perfect for blending an eyeshadow out. I really like the design of a white handle and a copper ferrul, it’s very clean looking. The brush itself is slightly pointed at the top, making it great to get right in the socket of the eye to blend the eyeshadow out.

Would I recommend this brush, probably, but there are others I do prefer and would mention before this one.

Batiste Stylist Oomph My Locks XXL Volume Spray – £4.29

Not much I can write about this, it’s a dry shampoo from probably one of the most well known brands.

I do rely on dry shampoos a lot and this is the kind of one I would use as I do like to get more volume when my hair is looking a little limp.

This product is really good, it doesn’t leave a horrible white residue in your hair, adds volume and does make your hair look less greasy.

It gets the job done on those days where you are feeling a little lazy but you need to go out of the house. This small little tester will be great for me to take travelling, as it’s the perfect size.

It hasn’t convinced me to change from my Superdrug version, as it does the exact same job, smells better and cheaper.

Beaver Professional Hydro Nutritive Repairing Conditioner – £12.00

I am going to be completely honest, I haven’t tried this product enough to be able to comment, I always forgot to take it in the bathroom with me. So I don’t really feel comfortable reviewing something I can’t give an honest review on. I have recently just dyed my hair and I need to use the conditioner to keep my hair in good nick and I didn’t want to double conditioner.

I will be trying this out, but once I have finished my hair treatment.

Pop Beauty Bright Up Your Life (Naturally Bare) – £15.50

I am completely baffled by this palette!! On the website this is getting rave reviews on how amazing it is….now did I get the wrong palette or a dud one as this was the worst eyeshadow I have ever tried in my life!

When you swatch this on your hand, the pigment isn’t great, but it’s there. But when I applied it onto my eyes…there was NOTHING there!!

I tried swirling my brush in the product to get more on it, this didn’t make a difference at all. It was like it either wouldn’t pick up the product or it disappeared between the brush and my eyes…MAGIC!

It was a shame, as the colours were right up my alley and would of been perfect for work for a just a bit of natural colour.

I would not recommend this product at all!!

I really want to cancel my subscription, as I always seemed really disappointed with the products I receive, once or twice there are some I like, but mostly…disappointment. But the only thing stopping me is the thought of “maybe it’ll be better next month”. We shall see, the March box is the final straw for me and then I think I’ll have to see what other beauty boxes are out there.

I hope you have enjoyed reading this, have you tried any of these products? What are your thoughts on Birchbox?
