I don’t know if you can tell, but I love writing with my girl Jessica Jade Beauty.

Today we have brought you a Beauty Q&A, telling you all about what we love about beauty. To read Jess’ responses head over to her site and check it out. I can’t wait to read what she put. Hold tight, my answers are below!

What is your earliest memory of makeup?

I would love to say my memories were typical, watching my Mum doing her makeup, as I find those stories beautiful. Unfortunately, I can’t as my Mum isn’t a big makeup person but has always been very supportive of my obsession with it.

My Mum helped me when I was younger, buying brushes and very subtle makeup, as I was still young. I remember my Mum taking me to The Body Shop to buy some makeup brushes, as she always swore by them. Sadly they had massively changed them and they weren’t the same as my Mum’s, which by the way, could be antique now with how long the brushes have lasted, even with the years of cleaning them the bristles are still intact. But yes, that memory always stuck with me, Mum showing me the roots of subtle makeup.

Full Coverage Queen? Yay or Nay

HELLA YAY! I am a full coverage queen! I hate my skin, especially my freckles. I am all for a full coverage, hiding all my secrets with foundation.

If you could live with only one makeup product, what would it be and why?

I would love to say something multipurpose, like a lipstick, as you can use it for lips, cheeks and eyeshadow. However, I am nothing without foundation, I couldn’t cope with having my full face on display. I think with a perfect foundation, I could leave the house quite happy. Without it, I would feel incredibly uncomfortable.

Favourite high-end and high-street product?

My high-end favourite would have to be my Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation, it has been my holy grail now for years and never lets me down.

High-street? I’d have to say the Rimmel Stay Matte powder is great and the only one of its kind in my collection, so that says something.

What brand have you always wanted to try, but haven’t?

I think at the moment I would have to say Huda Beauty. I really want to try their Faux Filter foundation and one of their eyeshadow palettes. I have heard such great things about this brand, but by Jove it’s expensive. I might have to treat myself one day, as I don’t think I could never try it.

You have to leave the house in 5 minutes, what makeup do you have to have on before leaving?

FOUNDATION! Did you guess that already? How could I leave the house without my mask on, it would be unnatural. I’d have to have a gun against my head for me to leave the house without my foundation on.

If you could work with any brand, which one would it be?

It would have to be Morphe, just because I love so many different products from their brand. I love so many brands, like Jeffree Starr, Colourpop, Rimmel, I could go on. But no brand does it for me like Morphe. I love their brushes, liquid lipsticks, sponges, eyeshadows, just so much of a range that it would be the best brand for me to work with, due to their variety and their standards.

Who’s packaging steals the show?

Morphe brushes are amazing. Good quality, sturdy and the gunmetal range, beautiful. I have to say my favourite has to be Jeffree Starr; the thought that goes into each new line is stunning and they really stand out in the crowd.

Why do you love makeup?

I think for me it has to be the different looks you can make, for any occasion. It’s like art, having a blank canvas and creating beauty with your tools.

For me, I am not a natural beauty. Without my makeup, I am not confident at all. But as soon as I walk out the house, with my favourite makeup on my face, I feel like I could conquer the world.

How would you describe your skincare routine?

Lazy! I love the thought of having a good skincare routine and most of the time I do try and stick to it. When I go to bed, I sometimes just think to myself “Wipe it off as quickly as possible so you can go to sleep!” instead of actually thinking about how much of the makeup is still on my face, clogging my pores. Then I wonder why have I have a breakout? It’s just such a boring part of the day, that sometimes I just can’t be arsed.

What is your favourite brand?

I have to say it would be The Body Shop. I love so much of the stuff from there. Not everything is a hit, but what brand is. However, with most of the products I have tried, I love and have or will be repurchasing.

Having a pamper evening, what does this consist of?

There is nothing I love more than a pamper night. I always start mine off with a bath with bubbles, to get myself into that relaxation mode. While I’m in there, I will usually defuzz and exfoliate, just so my skin can be nice and silky smooth. Once I am out, I will then moisturise and put a face mask on, while watching a programme I am binge-watching. Who am I kidding? The binge-watching started in the bath. Thank God for iPads! Sometimes I will paint my toenails, if my stomach allows me to reach them, if not, we just pass on that one.

I basically just do all my girly stuff, to make me feel good and smooth baby!

What brand have you always wanted to try, but haven’t?

I think Kiehl’s would have to be one of them. I have heard so many good things about their skincare range, but too scared to try as I don’t know enough about skincare to know where to start with a brand.

If you could work with any brand, which one would it be?

That would have to be The Body Shop, as I love so many things from their ranges, it would be impossible for me to refuse. It would be amazing to work with such a well known and cruelty-free brand.

What do you think is the most important skincare product?

For me and my laziness, it has to be my Simple Makeup Wipes, without them, I would be lost. Even though they don’t get all of the makeup off your face, they break them down making it easier to get the last little bits off.

Well, I thoroughly enjoyed answering those questions, I really do love a Q&A. If you want to see more, let me know in the comments below.
