Well, what a year it has been! I can’t believe I have been blogging for one year now, it doesn’t feel like it at all.

What have I learnt?

Not to be so obsessed with numbers, if you are, it will end up driving you nuts. I do still check my stats, but I try not to let it bother me.

What I take from it now is: which post was more popular and got more views or likes? This way I know what kind of posts draw you guys in. I then also know which ones weren’t as successful and know not to go down that path again.

If I could give one piece of advice to a new blogger, or current: social media is key, you must be active on all your social media accounts; without them, you’ll struggle.

Reading other blog posts really helped me and inspired me on what to write. However, also reading the ones that actually help you with aspects of blogging i.e. how to get a bigger audience. Using guides like this has really helped me the past year.

Most popular post?

My most popular post was Sunday Lunch with Aubrey Allen’s Roast Beef.

This was a lovely post to write and the fact I got over 600 views on this post was really exciting.

It was nice to see that so many people shared my opinion on how family orientated Sunday lunches are.

I will definitely be writing more posts about food in 2018, getting my ingredients from a variety different places.

Favourite post I’ve written?

It was probably My Faves from the High Street, which is a recent one of mine.

It was really nice getting all my products together that I love and I was really happy with how the photos came out.

I think you guys really enjoy the makeup posts that I put up. When I first stated, makeup was all I talked about when I first started my blog. Then I started branching out into more subjects and I kind of forgot about my makeup posts.

Next year, I will definitely be doing more makeup posts, as that is what I love doing.

Goals for the next year

I have lots of ideas as to what I would like to do next year, including working with some great companies.

I really want to go back to my roots of posting about makeup, so that is something I want to get back to doing.

I also want to be more organised; making time for social media, communicating with bloggers more and just making more time for it.

Blogging is something I really want to do, but sometimes my personal life does take me away from this. I really want to get on top of that for the next year.

Thank you…

I want to thank every single person who takes the time to read my posts, it really does mean a lot. I really hope you stick around for the next year and continue to enjoy my posts.

Thank you to all the bloggers out there who have supported, liked, viewed and shared my posts over the past year. But a HUGE thank you to Jessica Jade Beauty and Everything Meli for their valued friendship and their help.

Without them, I would not be blogging now.
